anyLogistix 2.11 released

Information in this blog has been superseded. The Advanced Transport Optimization experiment is currently unavailable in anyLogistix.

anyLogistix 2.11 introduces new features, example models, and a new Advanced Transportation Optimization experiment. All editions of anyLogistix, including the free Personal Learning Edition, are updated to 2.11 and for the Studio, licenses can now be managed and leased from a local server. Overall, the update extends anyLogistix’s functionality and ease-of-use to help supply chain design and decision support. Read on for highlights from the update.

To get the latest version, ‘Check for Updates’ in the anyLogistix help menu or install from the download.

New Advanced Transport Optimization experiment

The experiment boosts transport optimization performance at scale and increases the number of variables that can be considered. The Advanced TO experiment can capture fleets of mixed vehicle types, driver shift time limitations, expected lead times, and allow for multiple pickups per shift as well as schedule weekly time windows.

Computation for the Advanced Transportation Optimization experiment takes place remotely and registration is required. Once registered, the experiment is free for up to 100 delivery locations from 1 site and expanded capabilities are available through subscription tiers.

Data I/O and presentation

Results for all experiments can now automatically export to a file or external database and the importing of data from Excel files has been made quicker.

Also, this release further improves the user experience with some presentational changes:

• The Demand table allows grouping to help make large data sets easier to work with
• The Transportation Optimization results map enumerates destinations
• The Transportation Optimization and Network Optimization experiment results map can switch between displaying straight line and by-road connections.

New examples

anyLogistix contains example scenarios to help you become familiar with different aspects of the software. In addition to the ATO Beer Delivery example mentioned above, other new examples have been added. anyLogistix 2.11 introduces examples for:

• Network Optimization (with rate matrix - for capturing tariff plans and similar)
• Transportation Optimization and Capacitated Transportation Optimization (PLE)
